Bruny Island is home to the Bruny Ultra Marathon, a one of its kind trace in Tasmania, which incorporates both an individual 64km ultra-marathon event or a relay style event for teams comprising up to 10 people. The course starts at Dennes Point in the Northern end of the island and runs the length of the island finishing at Cape Bruny lighthouse in the South. As the organisers say, it's “The most beautiful place on Earth to run an Ultra!” Good luck to all the runner's in this years race.
